01 — House

저택 한 채를
고쳐 썼습니다

1971년에 지어진 성북동 단독주택이었습니다. 2021년에 객실 마흔두 개로 고쳤지만 기존 벽체와 계단은 그대로 두었습니다. 층마다 천장 높이가 다르고, 같은 타입 객실이 하나도 없는 것은 그 때문입니다.

복도에는 창을 내지 않았습니다. 대신 벽등 스물여덟 개를 낮게 달아 걸을 때 발밑이 먼저 밝아지도록 했습니다. 야간에는 조도를 30%까지 내립니다.

객실 커튼은 3중입니다. 암막·차광·시어를 겹쳐 낮에도 원하는 밝기를 만드실 수 있습니다. 다림질된 리넨은 매일 갈되, 원하지 않으시면 도어행어를 걸어두시면 됩니다.

설계했습니다

객실에 천장 직부등이 없습니다. 스탠드 세 개와 벽등 두 개로 밝기를 나눠 필요한 만큼만 켜시도록 했습니다. 스위치는 침대 머리맡에 모아 두었습니다.
